I had you once in
my heart,
I
thought you'd never want to part.
I was so wrong, and it hurts,
They lied to you, you believe the worst.
I always hoped you'd keep my love,
Inside your heart; wear it like a glove.
To protect and keep you from all harm,
Now all I want is to hold you in my arms.
At this point you don't need me,
So I will just let you be.
You may never love me again,
Shame, you suffer for their sins.
If you ever change your mind, and I hope you do,
Hope it won't be too late for me and you.
You're old enough to make up your own mind,
I hope you see the truth; I hope you see in
time.
