You’re in your final resting place,
As the tears are rolling down my face.
Mixed feelings, and so much pain,
I’ll never hear your voice again.

A lifetime ago, or so it seems,
You and I, we were just teens.
Starting up our own life,
The day that I became your wife.

Our marriage ended, but love went on,
Through our daughter and our son.
I gave to you a long stemmed rose,
It’s meaning, only you and I know.

Rest in Peace now, without the pain,
Your love with us shall remain.
I’ll love the children for us both,
To you that is my final oath.
