When you answered the phone,
I heard a voice from so long ago.
A voice so soothing, I love it so.
The voice of a man, who held,
My young and tender heart.
I felt the tears as they began to start.
The memories flooded me,
My aching heart cried out,
But my pain, I could not shout.
Youth took us our separate ways.
That would be my only regret,
My heart wasn’t through loving you yet.
Do you remember, as I do,
The kisses, the passion, and the love?
You were all I ever dreamt of.
Now, I’m no longer in your life.
My tears for you, you will never see,
I guess this is the way it was meant to be.
My heart deeply misses you,
And my body misses your gentle touch
Memories flood me, I still love you so very
much.
Be happy now, my sweet love,
Know I’m holding you in my heart,
For there we will never be apart.
